The Strategic Sourcing Specialist is responsible for supplier contract negotiations, quoting and sourcing of raw materials, escalation management, cost reduction and management of global strategic suppliers to support turnkey manufacturing operations.

  • Supplier Communication – maintain a mutually productive business relationship with suppliers through prompt and accurate communication. 
  • Supplier Management – maintain supplier relationships, compliance and performance via communication and corrective action measures.
  • Supplier Administration and maintenance – maintain current supplier information within database to ensure ease of doing business.
  • Gather, analyze, discuss and maintain key supplier performance data.
  • Evaluate suppliers based on scorecard criteria.
  • Maintain open lines of communication and provide regular feedback to the working relationship with key suppliers via Supplier Business Reviews (SBR).
  • Supplier evaluations – regularly ensure all qualified suppliers meet or exceed published performance goals and take corrective measures to those that do not
  • Submit supplier approvals or disqualifications.
  • Create and maintain supplier profiles within databases.
  • Negotiate optimum material and services contracts with suppliers, including payment terms, bonding, cancellation and return privileges.
  • Activity pursue cost reduction programs and contract agreements.
  • Quoting and sourcing – engage with the most competitive suppliers utilizing SigmaPoint terms and conditions.
  • Escalation Management – Resolve part/supplier escalations from teams to ensure continuity of supply.
  • Determine problem & communicate resolution.
  • Monitor and understand market conditions and volatility and its effect on SigmaPoint ability to procure and secure inventory at the right price when required. 
  • Knowledge/Education/Training:
  •  APICS or related certification in Business or Management

Job Description

  • Perform debugging of complex Printed Circuit Board Assemblies (PCBAs) using standard troubleshooting equipment (Oscilloscope, Multimeter, Spectrum Analyzer …etc)
  • Provide day-to-day technical support on assigned test platforms to sustain availability for manufacturing testing.
  • Ability to read and understand schematics, mechanical drawings and Bill of Materials (BoM)
  • Perform routine preventative maintenance (PMs) on test equipment.
  • Perform data analysis to report test trends of yields, failures and other test data.
  • Collaborate closely with Production, Product Engineering teams to address manufacturing issues and ensure overall product quality sustains the target test yield.
  • Perform root cause analysis to drive resolution of product manufacturing or test platform issues.
  • Perform systematic analysis of test failures and use findings to adjust test specifications, validated and documented.
  • Generate and close actions necessary to improve low test yields, repeat failures, and test issues. Manage Test Procedures to ensure they are up-to-date and request changes when needed or create new ones when required.
  • Collaborate with other departmental teams to support manufacturing projects when required.
  • Perform Production Testing activities when required to achieve global business objectives..
  • Engage with customer(s) on-site, at their facility for training or for introduction of new test solutions.
  • Provides general support to the manufacturing team.
  • Prepare reports and presentations for internal and external customers.
  • Perform, document and close customers’ Engineering Change Orders (ECOs) on test programs in coordination with Engineering and Production teams.
  • Perform requirements and specifications analysis to generate a Statement of Work from customers’ test solution requirements
  • Proactively communicate with internal and external customers on the status of any test obstacles being resolved, in a timely manner.

The Value Stream Account Manager (VSAM) leads the interface between the customer and various SigmaPoint (SP) functional areas. This position is responsible for leading the Customer Focus Team (CFT) and managing the day-to-day customer relationship. In essence, be the “voice of SigmaPoint” to the customer and the “voice of the customer” to SigmaPoint. • The VSAM is responsible for managing the business customer relationship portfolio. • Lead Customer Focus Team to deliver appropriate levels of customer service and satisfaction • Manage and Lead Tactical Customer Support • Manage the customer relationship
