Reporting to the CFO, this is a full time permanent position based in our Cornwall office.

Basic Responsibilities:
 

 

  • Review financial transactions
  • Oversee month end close process including journal entries and analysis
  • Review various reconciliations
  • Prepare month end financial statement and provide analysis for CFO review
  • Perform various analysis, recurring and adhoc
  • Prepare tools, data and documents required for budget process
  • Monitor cash balances
  • Support ERP enhancement projects

 

Additional responsibilities for the more experienced candidate:

 

  • Develop and calculate performance measures (KPI) to support the company’s strategic direction
  • Support external auditors with audit engagement
  • Supervise a group of four skilled employees (A/R, Order entry, A/P, Cost accounting)
  • Assist in ERP additional modules implementation
  • Automate financial reporting
  • Audit and ensure the data integrity of IT systems and their output
  • Review financial information of customers and recommend credit limits in conjunction with production levels and expected financial exposure
  • Support CFO for upcoming additional improvement projects

 

Skills/Qualifications/Education:

 

  • A Bachelors’ degree in accounting or business administration.
  • CPA designation (or working towards) or equivalent designation/work experience will be considered.

Reporting to the Engineering Manager, the successful candidate will use effective communication, tact and diplomacy while continuously pushing for results, improvements and efficiency.  The Product Engineer will act as the primary technical interface with internal and external product customers. Work with customers design team to ensure DFx (Manufacturing, Testing, Quality, Logistics, Lean and 6 Sigma) requirements are followed on all new designs.  In addition, lead NPI meetings review during Pre-production and Production Phases. Interface with customers, process, test, quality & components engineering to solve technical problems. Organize and prioritize efforts to correct all issues. Identify new processes that are required or would benefit new and existing products. Prepare manufacturing instructions and related work methods and standard times. Help sustain products with cost reduction and yield improvement efforts. Set out the sequence of operations required for assembling a product (defining the routing). Identify parameters required for monitoring for SPC and data collection. Identify, coordinate and implement process cost improvements. Identify any unique or special training requirements for production personnel.

This position will be responsible for the following:

  • Lead New Product Introduction during Pre-production and Production Phases
  • Interface with production on all activities associated with new process implementation and transfer
  • Assist Business Development Team in developing, preparing and delivering customer presentations on new technologies
  • Analyze and document results of process evaluations and prepare technical reports.
  • Assist in the development of training and providing training to production personnel during new technology transfer.

 

Skills :

  • Ability to adapt to conflicting deadlines and priorities established by company demands; and establish goals and objectives for this position, direct reports, and the function.
  • Ability to exercise sound judgment, provide leadership, and take initiative under minimal supervision.
  • Use good problem solving and project management skills to work with engineering staffs to solve the wide array of technical product problems
  • Organize technical problem solving strategies clearly and present them effectively to all concerned parties
  • Effective communication skills, (English and French) verbal  and written, in order to research, prepare and present information to Management, as well as effective communication skills with co-workers, staff and customers.


Requirements: 

  • BS in Electrical/Electronic Engineering (or 5+ yrs work experience in mechanical and/or electrical products in a manufacturing environment)
  • Strong self motivation and goal setting with minimal input.
  • Strong documenting and communications skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required and must be proficient at organizing information in spreadsheet form
  • Ability to conceptualize and understand technical reports, data, drawings, etc.
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to multi-task and handle multiple projects at a time
  • Advanced skills in Excel; basic skills in other Microsoft Office programs, including e-mail and Word
  • Able to work with a high level of accuracy
  • Professional attitude and demeanor; problem-solving and prioritization skills
  • Must be able to meet timely objectives
  • Ability to work independently, with proven team building & leadership skills
  • A demonstrated high level of initiative, attention to detail and accuracy

Duties & Responsibilities

 

  • Responsible for preparing standard worksheet, and takes appropriate action when any abnormalities occur. The root cause must be completed immediately and fixed. 
  • Manages the Set-up Planning board, and takes appropriate action to ensure issues are resolved as quickly as possible.
  • Floor runs, data entry, i.e. monitoring the quality of set-ups delivered to the lines and takes appropriate action when required.
  • Assists operators to understand and follow the SOP and WI.
  • Ensures the cell is fully staffed at the start of the shift, and if there is absenteeism a replacement is found, or the Group Leader fills the position.
  • Monitors 5’s to ensure team members are participating.
  • Conducts the daily huddle at the start of the shift.
  • Encourages continuous improvement ideas from the operators and is able to conduct a Kaizen.
  • Monitors cell performance and takes immediate action when targets are not being met.
  • Participates in annual 360 employee reviews, focusing on employee strengths.

Reporting to the Manager of Customer Experience, the successful candidate will use project methodologies and best practices in a matrix environment to provide tactical support and act as the primary interface between the customer and the various SigmaPoint (SP) functional areas necessary to manage the day-to-day customer relationship. The Project Manager will be the “Voice of SigmaPoint” to the customer and the “voice of the customer” to SigmaPoint.

Main Responsibilities:

 

  • Identify and manage stakeholders, collect requirements and define scope.
  • Plan risk management, identify and conduct analysis, implement and monitor risk responses.
  • Lead Customer Focus Team (CFT) to deliver appropriate levels of customer service and satisfaction such that members are engaged, responsible and productive to satisfy internal & external metrics.
  • Define, sequence and estimate activity durations, and develop Gantt charts for New Product Introductions.
  • Support the CFT in lessons learned, continuous improvement / lean activities and programs.
  • Champion issues management, lead team members to resolve issues and present potential solutions to the customer.
  • Resolve alignment issues between Purchase Orders, Quotes, Contracts and Technical Data Packages Revision Control.
  • Ensure the CFT is properly interpreting and executing contractual requirements.
  • Maintain Customer Resource Management (CRM) database.
  • Work with CFT to provide acceptable commitments based upon customer demand and SPs capabilities.
  • Champion resolution of Customer specific On-Time Delivery (OTD) and quality issues.
  • Ensure customer specific Purchase Price Variances are addressed to prevent manufacture delays.
  • Manage stakeholder expectations, coordinate, negotiate and communicate commitment dates on customer orders.
  • Participate in kick-off meetings to ensure successful handover from Business Development as it relates to the New Customer Introduction Process, successful integration of new customers and manufacturing readiness.
  • Provide progress updates, revenue reports and support Quarterly Business Reviews.
  • Ensure Engineering Change Orders (ECO’s) are priced appropriately and implemented effectively.
  • Escalate issues as appropriate through internal site management and corporate resources.
  • Maintain an awareness of the customer’s product life-cycle plans.

 

Requirements:

 

  • A Project Management Professional (PMP) with 3 to 5 years of experience in the electronics field.
  • The ability to learn the operating facets of the Electronic Manufacturing Services (EMS) industry.
  • Must be able to problem solve, prioritize and support continuous improvement.
  • Exceptional computer skills, experience with Excel, Microsoft Office, Power Point, MS Project.
  • Attention to detail, highly organized, flexible, efficient and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

  • An understanding of MRP and CRM systems.
  • Must be able to problem solve, prioritize and support continuous improvement.
